MBA (Made By Avalanche) Line Targeted To Entry Level Riders |
Dee Luxe Snowboard Boots 1996-1997 Hammer Freestyle Snowboards 1996-1997 |
| Benicia, CA -- Avalanche has built a reputation of offering high quality,
high performance snowboards for the more experienced rider. Now, the company
is launching a line of boards designed for those who desire the quality of
an Avalanche board, but want to enter the market with a price point board,
or test the product via rental programs.
"MBA (Made By Avalanche) gives these riders the opportunity to ride an Avalanche board while they are learning to board and testing their options. This board is designed to make the first turns easy, and riding fun," said Beverly Sanders, co-founder and vice president of marketing for Avalanche. "For 1996/97, Avalanche will offer the complete spectrum of options from these entry-level boards to the outrageous models in the Sanders Design Series." MBA will be available in four graphics and four sizes, 125, 143, 151 and 159cm. Kooky caricatures of the helicopter, police car and fire truck featured in Avalanche's main line are shown on bold solid-colored top and base sheets of 'fluro' green, bright blue and bright red. Constructed of high pressure injected polyurethane core, the MBA boards are forgiving, lightweight and flexible, helping to open the door for the newcomer. Suggested retail price will be $349.00 and the boards are backed with a one-year warranty. Samples for the MBA line will be available for review at the ISPO 1996 and 1996 SIA show in Las Vegas.
