Kamp KOME Live in Progress

to ride the monster ramp.

Snowboarders began arriving at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California at about noon today for On Board Entertainment's big air demo and concert.

It took us about three hours to find a phone line that was next to a power plug. It's amazing how the little things in life are so hard to find at an "alternative" festival.

Now we're finally situated in the medical tent, which means we're surrounded by Northern California's finest professional partiers. Some stumble in. Other are brought in unconscious. Mike Basich, Shane Charlibois, Blair Rusin, Barrett Christy, and Tina Basich are but a few of the riders hucking themselves off the man-made ramp.

Mountain View locs throwin' signs on the lawn during the break between Dishwalla and the Goo Goo Dolls.

The crowd is definitely rocking. (That's sounds pretty lame, huh? Yeah, too bad Styx isn't playing.)

Snowboarder Dave Sypniewski rock and roll sliding the 501 ramp on Shoreline's Plaza. The ramp was located directly adjacent to the second stage which hosted the smaller, better bands.

While the ramp was being built the hot summer sun was melting it almost as quickly as they could get the crushed ice down.

The ramp is covered in 40 tons of crushed ice that was delivered to the venue by semi-truck.
