Beach 1; Polar Tech 0. Though the snow blowers were pumping
all night long, the heat was just too much for the Polar Technologies people.
In fact, the slope was too much for them as well. Most of the snow they made
during the night slid off the slope. Then during the day, they put reflective
material over the snow hoping to save the six inches of snow they had for
the landing. Word has it now that the company ran out of liquid nitrogen
and was forced to wait until another truck could arrive. We'll see what
happens. |
