Everything you always wanted to know about but were afraid to ask.

What are the campers like?

They’re snowboarders. Like Robin Kiegel from Ashland, Oregon, who told me a gnarly story about how her and her boyfriend’s tongues got stuck together because they both had them pierced—she’s twelve. Eight-year old Nick Larson (who’s already been through more sponsors than Russell Winfield) was there with his mom, hanging with the big boys and tearing up the halfpipe and the skate ramp.

As far as age goes, I met a few twenty year-old campers on the older end, and one as young as seven (but if you’re younger than ten you need a chaperone). There are people of all ages hanging around the place, from moms to groms—it doesn’t seem to matter. Everyone is just so stoked to ride and everyone—including the pros—is there to learn new tricks and bring their riding to another level.
