Sierra-At-Tahoe Opens

November 2, 2000

South Lake Tahoe, CA Sierra-at-Tahoe will open this Friday November 3, 2000. The past weekend storm provided all the right ingredients for an earlier than expected opening at Sierra-at-Tahoe. Sierra-at-Tahoe received 12 inches of snow at the base of the mountain and up to 18 inches at the summit.

"The snow is in great condition", comments Johnny Morris, Sierra-at-Tahoe's Grooming Supervisor. "It's laying down nicely and we have full coverage", says Morris.

Sierra-at-Tahoe will offer it's annual tradition of FREE snowsporting for opening day. Starting Friday at 12pm both the Easy Rider and Rock Garden lifts will be turning, absolutely free! Nob Hill is slated to open just in time for the weekend.

Lift ticket prices will be discounted to * day rates for the November 4th and 5th weekend. Adult (ages 22 and older) lift tickets are only $35, and young adult (ages 13-22) are only $28.

Because our customers asked Sierra created a new season pass valid Sunday through Friday, non-holidays for only $259! Now is the time for Snowsporters to purchase this and many of our other season pass deals.

Sierra will have many Resort services available for the upcoming weekend, including our acclaimed Day Care and Children's Services, Adult Learn to Snowsport packages, and great food and drink at The Sun Deck, Sierra Pub and Bake Shop.

Sierra-at-Tahoe is located 12 miles west of South Lake Tahoe on Highway 50. Complimentary shuttle buses run daily from Tahoes south shore to the resort. For more information contact the resort at: (530) 659-7453 or visit the resort web site at sierratahoe.com.
