Rossignol Back On Top At Vail

By Press Release

November 8, 1999

Williston, VT: Rossignol and Vail have entered into a multi-year agreement putting Rossignol back on top of Vail Mountain. Rossignol has a newly built International Test Center at the top of Chair 4, replacing one that was lost last year in the arsonists1 fires.

The new Rossignol International Test Center opens its doors November 25th, and will remain open through April 2nd, 2000. Visitors will be able to demo the latest Rossignol snowboard, alpine, and nordic equipment at no cost. A Rossignol Demo Pass, requisite for the Test Center, must be obtained through an Authorized Rossignol Dealer in order to participate. These Passes are free of charge. Reservations are recommended and may be called or faxed directly to the Test Center (numbers listed below).

According to Hugh Harley, President of Rossignol, "We are excited to be back in Vail after this year of rebuilding. A lot of people were disappointed last year when they heard that our Test Center had burned to the ground and that they were looking forward to our return. It1s a great way for people to get out and take a couple of runs on a product that they1ve been considering purchasing, or been hesitant because they weren1t sure as to the best length. For those who haven1t gotten on our snowboards yet, well, let me just say that everything they1ve heard about how great our boards ride is true! Seriously, the ride will surprise people."

Rossignol will offer opportunities for snowboarders, skiers, and even free-heelers to test the latest equipment. And they1ll be asked some questions, too, as the company has found that it1s a great way to get consumer feedback.

"We want to communicate with our end-customers more...really find out what they are looking for and be sure that both our products and our marketing are fulfilling their expectations" says Jeanne-Marie Gand, Vice President - Communications & Advertising. "This presents a resource that will allow us to learn more about theriders on the hill and their reactions to both our gear and the sport."

For reservations: Tel. - 970.476.8917 ; Fax/24 hr. info1 line- 970.479.4430.
