Lodging and Amenities: There are two different lodging sites. If you're 17 and under you will be staying in the "woods". Son Village has separate boy/girl bathrooms, bunk style dorm rooms, kitchen, mess hall, game room, TV, VCR, swimming pool, hot tub, Mt. bike trails, etc. . .

If you're in the older and more mature crowd you'll be snoozing in the famous Huckleberry Inn. Hucks is located right in Government Camp which is minutes from the chairlifts. H.I. offers motel-dorm rooms with baths (approximately four people), daily housekeeping, three meals per day , mess hall/meeting room, TV, VCR, and all the nightlife and shopping that Government Camp has to offer. Other extras include session parties, nightly movies, snowboard/skate video library, video analysis, prizes, giveaways, paint ball, tourneys, Portland Trips, wakeboarding, free 1998 demo equipment, and a skate ramp.

Unique aspect: Windell's camp is small, more personable, and enforces counselor supervision. Their coaching staff is top-notch and the coaching occurs all afternoon, not just a portion of it.

Inside Line: "Can you say skate ramp?! The best ramp I've seen is located at this camp. It consist of a five foot mini-ramp with a spine, 1/2 wooden 7 ft. high bowl, variety of tombstones, and a big fat rollover in the middle of the ramp. How's that for you're skating pleasure.

Fortunately, Windell's Camp is "family-style." The camp has a warm and fuzzy feeling to it. Along with that personable feeling it features some incredible coaching. Tom Nordwall and Crystal Aldana stand out, as do their shouting tips to campers. You'll have a blast at Windell's.
