introduced Freestyle Boardin' '99 for the PlayStation game console.
Developed by Pony Canyon of Japan, Freestyle Boardin' '99 is a premiere
snowboarding game incorporating stellar 3D polygonal graphics and
unmatched gameplay.
In Freestyle Boardin' '99, being a well-rounded boarder is the only way
to compete. Players are expected to pull off advanced tricks, shred the
sharpest turns and keep board control while traveling at brain-bending
speeds. Grace and finesse are another key element to this game. Almost
anyone can execute a trick or two, but only the top competitors can make
it look good.
In Freestyle Boardin' '99, it's the little things that will get players
extra points. Freestyle Boardin' '99 invites players to put on their
goggles, lock in to their bindings and get ready to shred the slopes!
Freestyle Boardin' '99 is scheduled to release this Fall at a suggested
retail price of $39.95.

Freestyle Boardin' '99 offers 8 different courses which include a
downhill half-pipe, a free-style jumping course and downhill moguls.
Players can select between 5 different characters, all with various
strengths and weaknesses. Players can also execute over 50 complex tricks
and its engine is designed around gravity to make the gameplay more
realistic.
Freestyle Boardin' '99 offers players one or two players a variety of
different play modes. In Championship Mode, players race against computer
opponents; Battle Mode, two human players battle each other utilizing
vertical split-screens; Slalom Mode, players compete against each other
in both straight and free style; and the Half-Pipe Free Style Mode and
Free Style Jumping Contest Mode, where the player is scored on
successfully completing difficult tricks.
Using the Skill Edit Mode players can use points gained in the
Championship Mode and add these points to various character attributes
and save them to disk, creating a fully customizable character.
