Riders at SOS are at it again. Now in its fourth season of charitable activities, the Snowboard Outreach Society(SOS) today announced the release of this year's Feed Your Soul Jam at Gartons featuring two snowboard video premieres, three bands and a raffle at 8:00 p.m. on Friday November 8. SOS a non-profit grass roots charity organization is raising funds for its upcoming year of providing activities, awareness funds for youth-at-risk. SOS came together to show that being different can also be a means to making a difference. The funds will be used to support SOS's programs to assist children and organize snowboarders to reach out to instill hope and energy for social change. SOS is outraged by the problems facing youth today and is dedicated to implementing a progressive agenda that fits the culture of our sport and inspires the snowboarding community to channel their energies toward positive goals. The evening will start with the Vail premiere of Vail's J2 Productions Film "Hera", then the young Vail band Odium with a grunge-styled set. Followed by the premiere of the new Room and Board Video "Day Tripper". Then the engine rumbling and orderless Vaillette band Jesus Monkey Fish. Finishing off the evening will be the funky jazz techno sound of the Phat Vibe Acid Jazz Show. World-renowned snowboarders will be on hand to raffle a Vail Season Pass, snowboards, clothing and much more. Doors open at 8:00 p.m. and the show begins at 9:00 p.m. The admission is $5.00 for SOS members and $10.00 for non members. Admission to the show includes one raffle ticket. Memberships start at $20.00 and include a T-shirt, sticker, newsletter, membership card and discounts to various SOS events, but most of all membership proceeds help contribute to youth at risk. You can become a member by picking up an SOS membership application at many Vail locations, or upon entering Gartons and of course by calling SOS at 845-7040. SOS will have a booth to register new members at the event. Last year's show had near 500 in attendance and sold out. So be sure to get there early.
