Shimano Snow Technologies pro team
returns to Hawaii for spring wrap-up.
Team riders, designers,
pool ideas, excitement at unique retreat
6/11/99
JACKSON HOLE, WYO. (June 15, 1999) Refreshed from a week-long retreat
on the north shore of Oahu, the Shimano Snow Technologies Pro Team
returned to the mainland this spring with revitalized plans for the 2000
snowboard season.
For the second year in a row, Product Manager John Telfer brought a crew
of his top pro snowboarders to a Shimano Snow Technologies team meeting
in Hawaii, serving as a spring wrap up for the previous winter¼s
successes.
It¼s easier to reflect on the past winter by enjoying a final break from
it before the summer travel season with the camps and southern hemisphere
begins,¾ said Telfer. It¼s also key to get the team out of their
competitive environment to truly relax and gel as a team.¾
Team riders Adam Hostetter, Shannen Haymes, Bobby Meeks, Ami Voutilainen,
Peter Coppleson, Cody Dresser, Snow Petersen, Sky Rondenet and Jason
Schutz joined photographer Saku Knopp and three Shimano engineers and
designers for seven days of board meetings on the crisp waves and warm
sand.
Everybody had a extended opportunity to work with each other to really
solidify our product and marketing visions for the coming season. Now
everybody is pretty pumped to get back on snow and try out the new
ideas,¾ said Telfer.
Shimano Snow Technologies makes a comprehensive line of snowboard boots
for use with the industry leading step-in binding, the Clicker.
