VAIL, Colo., Sept. 16 -- Booth Creek Ski Holdings, owners and operators
of eight of the nation's distinctive areas within close proximity of the
country's major metropolitan areas, has announced its capital plans in
anticipation of the upcoming ski season.
"We are investing $12.5 million of expansion capital at our eight
resorts, (11 areas) with the singular intent of continually improving our
guests' ski experience," George Gillett, chairman and chief executive
officer, said today. "Booth Creek firmly believes in listening to our
guests' comments, compliments and critiques, and making annual
improvements based upon what they say."
Chris Ryman, Booth Creek's president, added, "This season our resorts
will feature three additional high-speed quad chairlifts, expanded tubing
and snowplay facilities, and new and expanded restaurants. Guests will
see wholesale improvements of skier service facilities and base lodges
and a continual attentiveness to guest service. I think you'll see that
we are listening and committed to providing great service, fun and
entertainment for our guests."
