PR: Vail Opens Burton Super Center Resort and company team with demo program. "Vail, Burton Snowboards, and Specialty Sports have teamed up to create a high-tech demo center that will allow intermediate and advanced riders the chance to try out the newest Burton boards, boots, and bindings. The Burton Super Center will open Friday, December 11, providing daily service from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and with rentals available until 2:30 p.m. The first super center of its kind in the United States, the Burton center is located at the top of Vail Mountain near Patrol Headquarters and the summits of Chairs 4, 5, and 11. The Burton Super Center is situated to allow guests access to a wide sampling of terrain within moments. Riders can strap on a big board and float through the fresh powder of Vail's Legendary Back Bowls or lay down huge troughs while testing one of Burton's Alpine boards. "Riders can try the latest equipment on the endless array of terrain at Vail," says Ray Sforzo, Vail snowboard operations manager. "From powder to riding in the trees and deep carving to catching air at our terrain parks, Burton, and Vail have the boards and terrain to meet each riders’ needs." The Balance, Custom, Supermodel, Canyon, FL Project, Floater, Fluid, Ultra Prime, Factory Prime, and Pro series boards are available for rental at the Burton Super Center along with Alpine boots and the new Burton step-in system. Guests can demo gear for seven dollars an hour, with a two-hour minimum, and switch boards at will. The Burton Super Center will also carry a number of last-minute necessities like sunblock, goggles, lip balm, and sunglasses, as well as Burton First Layer (thermal underwear), gloves, and helmets. |
