Adult Snowboard Camps Offered At Mt. Hood And Mt. Bachelor

High Cascade Snowboard Camp, the longest running adult snowboard camp, has set dates for its 1997/98 winter, spring, and summer Adult Camps. Beautiful Mt. Bachelor and Bend Oregon are the backdrop for the winter and spring sessions, while Mt. Hood is the locations for the summer session. The camps attract adults from around the country of all snowboarding abilities, interesting personalities, diverse occupations, backgrounds, and lifestyles.

Participants attend the camps to learn or expand all aspects of snowboarding. This includes freeriding, freestyle, park and private halfpipes.

The winter session is scheduled for December 13-19, 1997. Two spring sessions are planned for April 18-24 and April 25-May 1, 1998, and the summer session will be held August 14-21.

High Cascade's core front-line coaches cater to all snowboarding levels: beginner to advanced and beyond. Depending on camper aspirations this may include all or parts of the following: freeriding, freestyle, Pipe Dragon halfpipes, and Alpine carving.

During the winter session, campers are welcome to enjoy the athletic club, demo equipment set-up, tuning clinic, disco nights, billiards, bowling, and a micro brewery tour. The spring sessions offer all of the above plus mountain biking, whitewater rafting, wakeboarding, and skateboarding. The summer sessions also offer the health club, mountain biking, whitewater rafting, wakeboarding, and skateboarding, plus golf, and drive-in movies.

Lodging during the winter and spring sessions will be a six night stay at the Mount Bachelor Village, in Bend, Oregon. And the seven nights during the summer session will be in the semi-private chalet housing at Government Camp, Oregon.

Meals for winter and spring will be at Mt. Bachelor for breakfast and lunch, and dinner at Bend's finer restaurants. The summer sessions will host meals at High Cascade's premier facilities for breakfast and lunch, and evening meals at local restaurants.
