Izzo (Hood River, OR - February 16, 1998) -- For the second year Susan Izzo, Free-lance Photojournalist will be creating and coordinating an educational photo exhibit for the April 18, 1998 youth focused snowboarding and music festival, Boarding For Breast Cancer, dedicated to raising breast cancer awareness and funds in Sierra at Tahoe Resort, California. Miss Izzo will be working in conjunction with FUSE Integrated Sports Marketing, title sponsor, The Eastman Kodak Company and presenter Burton Snowboards. The exhibit will feature black and white photographs of women and men who have breast cancer and/or survived breast cancer treatment. These photographs and accompanied descriptive copy will be provided by Miss Izzo through her interaction with these volunteers from the local Oregon and Washington areas. Topics such as age, gender, triumph, loss, and personal experience will be depicted through a visual display at the Boarding For Breast Cancer event. Through this photographic exhibition, awareness and education about breast cancer facts and statistics will be highlighted in a hands-on format. Spectators and riders are welcome and encouraged to take part in this visual and personal photo exhibition. "This is a chance for all the people who participate in the Boarding For Breast Cancer event to see the mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts, and even the fathers, brothers, and uncles who are affected everday by this disease. My goal is to associate a face, an emotion, a reality to the breast cancer facts we hear about. This is my way to make a difference, my contribution and salute to the men and women who have and do endure breast cancer. This exhibition is a tribute to their strength and Inspiration."
