Canadian Rocks DV8 Contest Results August 3, 2000
CANADA�S TOP ACTION SPORTS HEROES HIT THE STREETS OF CALGARY AT THE ULTIMATE ACTION SPORTS AND MUSIC FESTIVAL MOLSON CANADIAN ROCKS DV8 - JULY 29 - 30, 2000
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Toronto, July 18, 2000 � In less than two weeks, Canadian action sport heroes from five different disciplines; snowboarding, freeskiing, skateboarding, BMX biking and in-line skating, will be in Calgary to compete in the much anticipated Molson Canadian Rocks DV8.
The two-day action sport and music festival will take place at the Olympic and Municipal Plazas in downtown Calgary on July 29 and 30. The Calgary event is the first of three Molson Canadian Rocks DV8 tour stops, which will award a total of $150,000 in tour prize money. Athletes will compete along side an outstanding line-up line up of bands and DJs including tour headliners Sloan.
PLAYSTATION QUARTER-PIPE ATHLETE OVERVIEW Fifteen male snowboarders and six female snowboarders have been selected, along with six of their freeskiing counterparts, to compete on the massive 60-foot high ramp that will have over 100 tonnes of real snow� all right on the steps of Calgary�s City Hall! Expect to see athletes boost aerial maneuvers up to 15 feet above the ramp�s 20 foot high lip.
Riders to watch for include: Sims World Snowboarding Championship silver medallist and Calgary�s own, Justin Lamoureux, U.S. Grand Prix winner Rob Kingwill and last year�s Molson Canadian DV8 champion and local Calgary rider, James Beach. Here�s the line-up:

Molson Canadian Rocks DV8 in Calgary is one of three nationally televised events that will take place across Canada in 2000. After Calgary, the event will take over the nation�s capital, Ottawa, Ontario on September 9 and 10, then hit the streets of downtown Saskatoon, September 16 and 17.
