NIKE and MARKER INTERNATIONAL announced an alliance to design and develop winter sports products. The companies will team up on snowboards as well as snowboard boots and bindings. Nike's new snowboard equipment line will be introduced to retailers in early 1999 and will be available to consumers in the Fall of 1999. Nike is introducing a line of snowboard apparel in the fall of this year.
