Verb Design & Advertising in Benicia, California, felt an accumulating rumble in their creative atmosphere when Avalanche Snowboards' Mike McDaniel decided to make a career move. Five year veteran sales manager, team marketing handler, and all-around snowboarding expert for Avalanche snowboards, McDaniel made a key shift in geography when he left the snowboard company to accept a custom built position at Verb -- a role defined more by McDaniel's experience than by specific agency criteria.

The four year old snowboard-specific agency is known most recently for their Rossignol Snowboards ad campaign featuring design concepts by former Transworld Snowboarding Art Director Holden Hume and crazy paintings by former Transworld Snowboarding Art Director Joe Sorren. Verb has also done work with Airwalk, Avalanche, Division 23, Fila, Generics, Oxygen, Surfing Magazine, Universal Bindings, Vuarnet, and others.

Mike's experience at Avalanche, as well as his prior retail and resort management (he ran the Stockton and Sacramento "Go Skate" locations in 1986-89, and pioneered the first ever snowboard park for Bear Valley, California in 1989-90) makes him a valuable cog in the already snowboad savy machinery which is Verb Design & Advertising. His kknowledge of the industry will boost Verb's ability to reach the no longer niche but stillspecific market that snowboarding has become.

Asked about his new personnel acquisition, original partner and creative director Holden Hume said, "Nobody could hit the mark better or be more experienced for the variety of needs appropriate for our clients than Mike. I really feel we were in the right place at the right time to get a talent like his, and we're stoked to have him onboard."
