The Salomon Fastback was conceived, designed, tested, and named by team rider Jason Ford, who was looking for an all-mountain board that shined in the powder. "It has the combined flexes of the 450 and 550 series, and is the best Salomon board ever made," he said.

These big words were confirmed by the testers. "This board felt really stable under my feet," said Lisa. "It handled speed well, and short- and long-radius turns were solid."

Robyn said, "I�d use this board for Maching down the fall-line. It was a speed-demon straight-liner."

Neal had two words to say about the Fastback�s edge hold: "Wow. Holds."

Kurt added, "A killer playful board. Punch it and rule. You own the mountain on this one." Definitely a good choice for hard-chargers who ride fast or on steeps.
