Snowboard Life Top 25: Rossignol Levitation
November 6, 2000
Stacked with Rossignol extras, the Levitation begs for big-mountain burliness.
Jonathan claims, "This should be my pro model; its fast, damp, and sturdy." Theres a lot to be said for an empowering, confidence-building board, but Jonathan would first have to take out Jeremy Joneshe rides this sled straight out of the factory wrapper.
Rossis trademark Dualtec construction, which combines cap and sandwich sidewalls, is responsible for the strong edge hold, and its too-trick-to-explain THC core lends both dampening and snap (more dampening than snap, really)making for a well-rounded ride.
With just a dash of freestyle inspiration, the Levi takes some motivating in small turns and at low speeds. But its sure-fire stability in hard-snow, BX, and plus-size terrain cant be beat.
