So Cal Bro Down In Full Effect:
Mtn. High hosts tank-top and camo scene

Sunday November 15 resembled a typical spring day at Mountain High with hot temperatures and an even hotter parade of local wantabes and look-alikes as the fashion fest turned into a sunworshipers paradise. Sweat shirts were removed to reveal leftover summer tan lines early in the day, but nobody was taking off their trendy camo.

Looky here.

The early season crowd on the slopes was completely dominated by snowboarders, and pros such as Subtle/Special Blend rider Brian Thien made turns with his friends. A WB camera crew carved out a baby kicker for super grom Shawn White and filmed the action for an upcoming show.

But the real action was in the lift line as bevys of belly-button-showing baby bettys proved that the sport's appeal is not limited to guys alone. The guys were contributing to the fashion show, sporting everything from camouflage pants, motocross inspired jerseys, and just about anything with a DC, Forum, Special Blend/Four Star logo--perferably in blue or yellow.

The snow was a mixture of man-made and natural left over from the first storm of the season that rolled through earlier in the week. The resort had one main run open, serviced by three lifts. They had opened the snowboard park on Saturday, but the pipe wasn't covered enough to withstand the 60-degree weather that baked everyone's exposed skin.

The real action was in the lift lines.

The New Mountain High has installed automatic turnstiles at the bottom of each lift where riders get to slide their lift tickets through to get to the chairs. These turnstiles will also work with the Swatch Access watches that can be programed to work as a day's lift ticket.

Although another storm is expected to roll through later in the week, if the warm weather keeps up, So Cal's only open resort might close sooner than anyone wants.
