Now is your chance to give your video box the meal it's been waiting all summer for. And this year no one will go hungry. The following is a menu of fine dining for your tape muncher. Rather than giving a review of all the videos we could find, we've chosen to highlight some of the good ones. Having narrowly survived the video review wars of 1995 we've decided that reviews are not the proper way to rate videos. Something about late night death threats from videographers is part of the reason, but mostly snowboarding is good, and snowboard videos are good. Got it? So click up, and chow down.

Which means it has more death defying first descents, avalanches that make your skin crawl with fear, and the worst soundtrack ever (unless, or course Ozzy really speaks your language). One thing: Johan's part rules, but then everyone already knows that. The riders are top notch (even though they are the exact same crew that was used last year) and the locations are insane. This is an excellent selection if you're interested in extreme riding to the tenth power, but if you have any fear of heights you want to watch this one. The parachuter snowboarding off at least a 1,500 foot cliff in France will make you lose your dinner. The only down fall to this film is that the constant intensity of it all desensitizes you to some of the less insane of the insane shit. Rock on butt rockers.

This video is Tahoe rider heavy, but FLF does a good job of pulling in some excellent big mountain riding footage and a lot of hucking. The best part of the film, however isn't even the riding, it's the amusing lobster and steak eating, shit-talking session between Chris Roach, Jimmy Halopoff and company and the amusing French maitre d' scene at the entrance of the Tahoe backcountry. If you're going to buy TB5 and Mack Dawg, this will round out the collection for the year.
Tales of the Krypt

The only problem with the film is the annoying computer animation snowman that High Voltage added to help host the show. Also, there is a segment with a couple of five year old kids drinking beer and robbing a store that gets a little too surreal and seems a little out of place. Otherwise the riding is solid and varied from freeriding to the locations range from New Zealand to Hood to Vermont. And one more thing, we hope you like black and white footage because there's a ton of it in here. Stomping Grounds

This is probably some of the best hucking footage available with all of the household names. Stomping Grounds has some pretty decent music, some excellent skate footage of Carabeth, and a great angel on Ingemar's winning big air in Riksgrassen (if you aren't already sick to death of that jump). Without a doubt this is the film to get if you want to see A pros spinning like 7 year olds on the tea cup ride at Disneyland.
