A forklift that was listed as being worth $45,000 was sold at the Marker Snowboard
factory action today for 20,000 dollars. The building that the company built to house the
snowboard production went for approximately three-million dollars to a local business that
hopes to convert the plant into a screen-printing facility.
On hand at the auction are representatives from Angelic Snowboards, Taylor-Dykma,
Heelside/Function, Mervin Manufacturing, Nelson, The Yoshida Group, Glissade, and Damco,
as well as local shops Milosport and Salty Peaks.
Other items that have sold so far include a snowboard-testing machine for $20,000
(that was bought by the former DNR GM), and an automated finishing machine that went for
$120,000 to an on-line bidder.
SNOWboarding Business will have another report later today and a complete
story next week.
