Burton Super Demo Centers

Blind purchases are never fun. And when you’re laying down some dollars for high-performance snowboard equipment, it can be especially disconcerting. Knowing what works for you before you buy it is key. Information from catalogs and the knowledge of sales people is good and all, but it pales in comparison to a direct experience with the product. Partnering with three major resorts, Burton Snowboards unleashes the 2000 Super Center program to give people the opportunity to try before they buy.

Together with Burton, Park City in Utah continues to push the envelope for serving kid snowboarders. Back for a second season, the kid-specific Chopper Center in the Kinderschule building has it all: Chopper and Punch boards, Kids’ Moto boots, XS Bindings, a new trampoline and the crowd-pleasing Sony Playstation. With a dedicated staff specifically trained to work with kids, the Center is strictly focused on optimizing the riding experience of every kid who walks through the doors.

Not to sit back on last year’s tremendous success of the Chopper Center, Park City has expanded its demo offerings of Burton product with the construction of the new Summit Super Center. Located at the top of the Bonanza chair, the Summit Super Center features a unique ride-in, ride-out set-up that speeds up the process and maximizes time on the hill. Getting on a new Feelgood with CFX bindings has never been easier. Just stop by a Burton dealer in Park City and pick up a free one-hour coupon, no purchase necessary.

Following a successful inaugural year, Vail returns in 2000 with an improved Super Center Yurt. Centrally located at the top of chairs 4, 5, and 11, riders can walk out the door, strap into a high-tech Burton set-up and proceed to drop into a variety of badass terrainĞany of the famed Vail back bowls, as well as the new Category 3 backcountry area. Inside the yurt, riders enjoy all the amenities: couches, music, video games and access to every high-end board, boot and binding from Burton. And outside the yurt, Vail has upgraded the riding experience by adding a mini-park for hanging out and working on tricks. Like at Park City, coupons for one hour of free testing can be picked up at all Vail area Burton dealers.

For those on the right side of the country, Stowe ResortĞ”the Home of Burton Snowboards”Ğhas revamped the original Burton Super Center with a user-friendly layout and a more prominent location on the mountain. In its third year of operation, the Stowe Super Center has merged into the new Toy Store at the bottom of the Quad, giving riders easier access to a full spectrum of Burton1s high-end gear. Whether it1s the new Balance 57.5 or a pair of the latest SI-X bindings, riders can find everything they need and give it a test ride.

So if you want to lace up a boot or feel a carve before you open up the wallet, head to one of Burton1s four demo centers. You1ll figure out the product that best suits your riding and ride better as a result.
